Welcome to YogaGladey.

I am a Bristol based yoga teacher and have been sharing the practice of yoga in and around Bristol since 2009 when I started my training at Bristol School of Yoga. I completed my 200 hour certificate with yoga alliance and then did intensives in Ashtanga yoga, Vinyasa flow, Pregnancy and Mums and Babes yoga. From 2015 I continued my yoga training with Nicole Aarons: Soma Yoga and Medicine School and in 2024 I completed my training as a trauma-informed yoga therapist.

My yoga journey started in India when I was 18 with a regular morning practice of sun-salutations from the roof of where i was working. I did not train to teach until after I had my third child in 2007, when I really started to benefit from the practice of yoga to support my mental health. Yoga became my life-line, the medicine that held all the pieces of my life together, a practice that sustains and nourishes me from deep within.

Bringing up my three children has been a massive part of my daily yoga practice, karma yoga, the practice of selfless service. Maybe this is why I love sharing pregnancy yoga and mums and babes yoga, because I have the experiential understanding of the benefits of yoga as a way of life in a family setting.

As I embark on the next chapter of my life, I’m really interested in exploring yoga for women in the ‘queen’ phase of life; yoga for menopause and beyond. I’ve developed a hatha flow class where we incorporate light hand help weights into some of the yoga postures, as I know how important it is to maintain our physical and cognitive function when ageing well.

I run my regular weekly classes in and around Bristol, here is my timetable, and I also offer one to one sessions if interested.

I hope to see you at a class soon!
